This is a wonderful place that every kid should get to go. Kaleidoscope is a FREE art-making space for kids ages 14 and under and their accompanying adults Located in Crown Center, it is Hallmark’s gift to kids and families in Kansas City. Very cool.Īlso wonderful to note that adults are not allowed admission without a child and you cannot leave the session early without an escort as the doors are locked for safety. The kids get to turn the wheel themselves to cut it and the center piece is a crown. We were in a line of about 7 children for the puzzle and still waited maybe 2-3 minutes tops. When you want to wow your guests with a photo booth they have never seen before, this is your number one choice. The only things that had a line were the drying machine which takes 3 mins (you can go do something else while it dries and come back and pick it up) and the puzzle presser. The Kaleidoscope Booth is next level photo booth. We managed to make the cut showing up 5 mins prior and they make a HUGE effort to accommodate as many as they safely can without compromising the children being able to have room to do their activities and not spend the hour waiting their turn. She made a sash out of paper scraps which she decorated with hearts and her name. My daughter loved painting a party hat and putting it through their drying machine and designing and cutting her own puzzle. I wish I took more photos of what it looks like inside and less of my kid having fun to share! My 8 year old had fun, my 14 year old was in tow and it obviously wasn’t really his style, but he only had to suck it up for an hour. It appears that many of the “supplies” are waste from the hallmark factories and I think that makes it even cooler.
